Burro Burrow Burrough is a sanctuary to take a break from the city and connect with your natural environment. Located 45 mins from Portland, OR, and only 30 mins from the PDX airport.
Our two off grid cabins are very private and quiet, and each have access to our private swimming hole. More details can be found on the cabin booking pages.
The river camp is home to many eagles, deer, river otter, salmon, and old growth trees as well as our rescued miniature Sicilian donkeys, chickens, ducks and two Great Pyreenese guardian dogs.
PRIVATE SWIMMING HOLE AND SAUNA
Our riverside barrel sauna has a giant bubble window looking out over the swimming hole.
It is wood fired and seats 4 comfortably. Relax and take in the view on the deck while you cool off in between sessions.
A dip in the river after is the best cold plunge experience you could ask for and an ideal natural venue for contrast therapy.
In the summer enjoy the swimming hole and its gentle current. There is separate river access for each rental.
IN THE COLUMBIA RIVER GORGE NEAR PORTLAND
Just 45mins from downtown Portland and 30 mins from PDX airport.
Beautiful views and hikes within a short 5-10min drive of the cabins, including the Cape Horn lookout seen in this image. Some of our favorites day hikes within minutes are: Dougan Falls, Cape Horn Trail, Beacon Rock and Naked Falls.
Only 5mins to the 100 year old mercantile for last minute odds and ends and 25 mins from Camas which has a New Seasons, Costco, Target etc.
Or 20 mins further up the Gorge, past Bridge of the Gods, is the small town of Stevenson, with a brewery, cafes, hardware and a grocery store.
